Cambridgeshire Status:

Common and widespread in Cambridgeshire where it flies in late summer and autumn. It is found in grassland, gardens, woodland rides and waste ground.

Identification:

The latest flying of the swift moths. Female much larger and browner in colour than the orange male. Both are distinguished from other swifts by the open dark-edged V-shaped diagonal lines on forewing.
